Todd Chancey

Todd Chancey

Senior Pastor

Rev. Todd Chancey has been married to his wife Liz for over 37 years. They have two adult daughters, two sons-in-laws and three granddaughters. Todd enjoyed a 15-year career in Church Business Administration before answering a call to pastoral ministry. He is an ordained elder in full connection in the Holston Annual Conference. Todd received his BS Degree in Organizational Management at Covenant College, and attended the Course of Study and Advanced Course of Study at Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he received his Masters of Divinity equivalent.

He has co-authored two books, the most recent with his wife Liz, titled God in the Midst of Thorns: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Strength and Justice. This latest work will be in publication by late Summer of 2019. It is based on a true story and authored under the pen names Christopher and Hilda Talley. Todd has spent a large part of his career participating and leading mission work and mission teams in local, regional, and international locations. He has worked full time in Christian ministry for the past 31 years.

Most recently he served Kingston UMC for the past seven years, and Apison UMC for the previous eight years. Todd and Liz believe that all ministry is relational and the more you share life together with the church family the more you grow in discipleship. Todd enjoys preaching, teaching, and administrating the needs of the local church. He has served in local, district, and conference leadership for many years. Todd and Liz are both very excited about the opportunities of serving the church family at Alcoa First Methodist Church.
